The Programme aims to prepare aspiring children and young adults for leadership roles in whatever vocation they choose, whether in politics, business, drama, art, music, academia, professional occupations, or otherwise.
The Programme further seeks to endow younger children with the foundational skills necessary to deep and encyclopedic knowledge, high culture, and balanced lives to which the wise and honest may repair.
The Lichfield mission entails exacting and demanding scholarship: meticulous reading of the masters; instruction in writing techniques, including the construction of sentences that evoke powerful images and passion through similes, metaphors, allusions, or otherwise; immersion in great intellectual thought and philosophy; extraction of universals in human nature from exploring the history of civilization and brilliant fiction epitomized by authors such as Shakespeare.
